Amjay Software Solutions has launched the first mobile application for ordering prescriptions in Canada.
Canadians can now download the free app and begin ordering prescriptions from their local pharmacies.
Ajay Majithia, President of Amjay Software Solutions adds: "The application is now available for Android and Apple owners and once downloaded the patient can quickly and securely order their prescriptions online."
The new app works directly with the pharmacy's operating software system at any store ensuring that a patient's order appears immediately in the Pharmacist's To-Do-List. Once the prescription is completed the patient receives an automatic notification. Additional features include a full review of your prescription profile as well as access to pictures and information about the medication.
Amjay Software , based in Brampton, ON, plans to launch cloud-based text messaging and IVR solutions in Q3 of this year and more significantly is working on a project to connect all of the caregivers in the health network so that doctors, nurses, and patients can all talk to each other via the Web.
"It's kind of like Facebook for healthcare," notes Majithia.
