As we close out 2010 where does all the competition stand?
For instance what is currently the "best" Media Extender/Player (with out without HDD)?
From Popcorn Hour to Asus O!Play to D-Link to WDTV to Xtreamer and all the other ones I haven't heard of.
I was originally drawn to the Asus O!Play HD2 as it looks like it has all the video support and audio support one could ever hope for but it appears to have been too good to be true.
(Fairly unfavourable review here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/media-players/2010/12/09/asus-o-play-hd2-media-player-review/3)
Poor Firmware Support: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx...2&id=20101223175302347&page=1&SLanguage=en-us
So Now I'm back to square one. Is there anything else on the market that is similar or coming to market that would be similar in capability?
(I'm not against building an HTPC but would prefer not to as streaming things from the current desktop seems just as viable)
