Netflix will be the exclusive home to the third season of Girls5eva and also acquired co-exclusive global streaming rights to the first two seasons. (Source) The first two seasons of the former Peacock series are still available on Globaltv.com and STACKTV.

I purchased a prepaid Netflix card and will be picking the $7 ad based streaming option to see how well it runs.

I have to wait until Nov 1 to set up the ad based streaming.

Ads do no bother me that much as i am used to over 35 years of watching broadcast OTA tv and 5 years of watching tubi.tv .

It will be nice to watch Cobra Kai season 5 and whatever Russian Doll episodes they have.

Any loss of a few 3rd party movie studio movies is not an issue with me , as Netflix movie selection has been on the decline for the last 5 years now.

My first month on Netflix ad based streaming has started , there are locks on some movies.
I have seen all the locked movies already so i don't care.

They have John Wick 1 and 2 locked , Terminator 2 locked , Rambo movies locked and other movies locked.

Most of the Netflix shows are unlocked , have not found any locked shows yet.

Will keep looking as i may find some locked shows.

In December they have Lethal Weapon 2,3,4 coming for viewing.
Maybe the ran out of cash to get Lethal Weapon 1 ?

I have a 4 pack dvd with all Lethal Weapon 1,2,3,4 here so it does not matter to me.

Most Adam Sandler movies are unlocked , they only locked 2 older ones.

It seems like Netflix spends next to nothing on getting movies these days , if you got Netflix for the movies you wasted your money.

If new movies are what you want to watch , other streaming services are better suited to the task.

Deadline reported that Warner Bros. Discovery has written off the completed fourth and final season of Snowpiercer, and will not air it on TNT. Tomorrow Studios is currently shopping the new season, along with potential prequel and sequel, with the goal to build a franchise.

Im waiting for the Netflix version of Pluto tv .
My Netflix just expired and the last month of viewing in January did not have much to watch.
The last week in January i watched 2 new movies that i had not seen.
I am no longer interested in subscription.

I just buy my Cobra Kai seasons on dvd and will be skipping the online Netflix.

I suspect their churn rate will shoot up. Before, accounts were kept active because someone was always watching something. Now, it'll be easier for someone to keep an account active one month out of say three. Maybe Netflix will combat this by moving to a traditional one new episode a week schedule and hope that some shows generate enough weekly buzz to keep users from waiting until all episodes have aired.

Well, if Netflix lowers prices because of this, then I will expect the sun to rise in the west as well.
I doubt Netflix will lower prices but pressure from investors over its high losses probably caused price increases to be sooner and higher than if fewer people shared accounts. Other companies, like Disney who clawed back their rights, caused pressure to create new, original content which also caused price increases. Netflix has no deals like Disney or Prime, which are cheaper monthly and a lot cheaper annually even after recent price increases. Netflix caused some of their own financial problems by throwing too much money at new content, some of which were of questionable quality. The other reason I stopped subscribing was because a lot of the original content was not that appealing. When the standard plan was $7.99 I didn't care if there was always a lot to watch. Now that it's $16.49, its strictly subscribe as required but I'll be wanting 4k so it's $20.99.

I agree to some extent but we got a year subscription to Disney+ for less than $10/mo and it includes 4K with Dolby Vision. Netflix has no discounted annual plan. With Netflix basic, 720p looks fuzzy in comparison and only one device can be used at a time. It's no wonder Disney passed Netflix in subscriber numbers last year.

An Update on Sharing - About Netflix .

After exploring different approaches to address account sharing in Latin America, Netflix is ready to roll them out more broadly in the coming months, starting today in Canada, New Zealand, Portugal and Spain.

Buy an extra member: Members on the Premium plan in Canada can add an extra member sub account for up to two people they don’t live with — each with a profile, personalized recommendations, login and password — for an extra CAD$7.99 a month per person. The Standard plan is limited to one extra sub account. Basic plans are not eligible for this feature.

Like many others have received the official notice from Netflix regarding sharing. It neatly showed up when I opened Netflix.....all the details were there. It was a bit discouraging to have only until Feb 21 to sign in. I think the response will not be favorable and a far amount of churn will happen. The quality of new programs etc is not that inviting anymore and all the series are essentially the same for us older people. With summer coming and baseball season starting may consider cancelling our subscription and continue only with the Sports add-on on Bell. Enjoyed it over the winter for hockey games and will continue if price remains the same.

When signing in? As if you sign in, you accept it?

Yeah, I'm sure my kids will tell me about that ... heck, they've probably already done it!

So I don't get it. With a Premium account you are allowed 4 users. What difference does it make where the users are located. 4 users are paid for! Netflix is making money. How are the users stealing the service or cheating? No one is getting a free ride. Another example of corporate greed and increasing revenue for the share holders. And the end users are getting stiffed.

Four profiles in the same household, to allow Mom, Dad, Jenny, and Jimmy to have their own watchlists and recommendations. Kind of like you can login to one Windows PC with different user ids. Having four logins doesn't mean your have four licenses of Windows. Not defending Netflix, just being accurate. Contrast this with Apple's Apple One Family/Premier plans which just say, "Share with up to five other people".

Edit:
From a 2018 article (so you don't think definitions have changed): Millennials are going to extreme lengths to share streaming passwords, and companies are missing out on millions

The terms and conditions of all the major streaming services note access to content is for personal use and not to be shared with others. But, the contracts note, if users do share access then they’re responsible for the actions of that third party. And if you are sharing, then the terms insist you keep it within the set limit of simultaneous streams. And if that limit of simultaneous streams is too restricting, well, you can pay a few extra dollars to raise it.

It's not Netflix that is behind this, it's big studios, copyright owners and broadcasters that demand restrictions on all distribution methods and consumer accounts. If companies like Netflix don't comply, they lose the content. Netflix was quite lax when it started but they have been forced to comply with restrictions.

An added issue in Netflix's case is that they have never turned a profit and have a huge debt from developing their own content. If creditors start to bail, it would mean the end of Netflix as we know it and possible bankruptcy.
