During her move, my Mother has lost the 12v/2a ac/dc adapter for this receiver and we are having trouble finding a replacement ..the size of the plug seems to be the problem....Shaw Direct installer advised we buy a used receiver off Kijiji..that was great advice for a 65 yr old widow (no offence intended) ! The installer is coming next week.

The Source and Staples had nothing that would quite fit...

Why not call Shaw Direct and see if you can get one from them?

Best deal would likely be to get the $29 incl shipping upgrade to a 319 from Shaw D but you probably can't upgrade from a 209 to a 319 for that price because the 209 is capable of receiving all the channels that a 319 can receive.

It was Shaw Direct that informed her that she should buy a used receiver from Kijiji....the tech support dept
