My ps3 is wired to the data/phone jack.And my ps3 is type 2.Type 2 is when a router is used.


Might be a dumb question but iam not to smart when it comes to this kind of stuff.

But should i not be in Nat type 1 ->is when connecting the PS3 directly to the modem???

Useing Optik internet.

If you have Optik, the TV and internet are probably connected to a modem/router - either a D-link or Actiontec.

From what I've read, a PS3 type 2 connection should not be a problem. Type 3 could be a concern.

In simple terms, a router is used to connect more than 1 device to the internet, including computers and game consoles. A router is included with every Optik TV installation.
