I thought HD Channels were free if you had the digital channel and then you pay for the premium pack, which I do. Can someone tell me what that $1 is for? I know it is not much but I am just curious.

HD channels cost $1

Cogeco gives you a $5 discount for the first 12 months on the HD Premium Package, which is normally $6. While HD broadcast channels are free with any digital package, the Premium HD package includes such specialty channels as CBC News Network, Sportsnet ONE, TSN 1&2, Showcase, A&E, History, TLC, and US West Coast timeshifting.

I have had high def since cogeco first provided it and that is the 1st time I have seen that charge on my bill. Is this a new package that they created? I have had tsn hd for years and same with the west coast timeshifting.
