Manitoba Telecom Services has launched its fastest high-speed Internet offers yet, adding three new consumer plans.

Running on the advanced fibre optic FiON network are FiON Lightning 50, FiON Lightning 100, and FiON Lightning 250.

"Our new FiON Lightning high-speed Internet plans offer some of the fastest speeds in Manitoba," said MTS President Kelvin Shepherd. "And with free wireless home networking included, these plans are ideal for households that have several family members online at the same time using different devices."

The new plans have unlimited usage to meet the needs of heavy Internet users. For example, the FiON Lightning 250 plan is available for $280/month and features download speeds of up to 250 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 30 Mbps. FiON Lighting 100 ($140/month) offers 100 Mbps/15 Mbps, while Fion Lightning 50 ($75/month) provides 50 Mbps/5 Mbps.

MTS has invested $125 million on its fibre-to-the-home network and has so far has reached Selkirk, Steinbach, Dauphin, Thompson, The Pas, Neepawa, Carberry and select areas of Winnipeg. Next up are Minnedosa and Killarney.
