My wife has an LG Rumour that she bought at future shop and activated on a month to month plan with Virgin.

I want to put her on my Telus plan and they tell me it can't be done.

Is there any truth to this?

The rep is correct. The LG Rumor is a CDMA handset, and Bell & Telus won't activate CDMA handsets from another provider.
