CKGM, better known as Team 990, announced today that it is now the official voice of the Montreal Canadiens with exclusive English radio broadcast rights to all of the team's games over the next seven seasons.

The Bell owned all sports English language station located in Westmount Quebec has secured the rights to broadcast all pre-season, all 82 regular season games and all Canadiens playoff games.

This marks the first time THE TEAM 990 will have radio broadcast rights to Montreal Canadiens games. In addition to the radio broadcasts, the station will complement its game broadcasts by producing pre- and post-game shows.

“As a proud member of the Montreal community, the Habs have always dominated our airwaves. This new partnership with the Canadiens organization will enable us to give hockey fans even more coverage of our city’s team.” said the stations General Manager Wayne Bews.

CKGM is also is official broadcasting partner of the Montreal Impact (soccer) and carries exclusive coverage of the NFL, MLB, NASCAR and some NHL playoffs. The station also carries some ESPN Radio programming.
