Discount mobile carrier, Mobilicity will extend its 4G network throughout the Golden Horsehoe in 2013.

Expansions into Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa are scheduled for completion by September 2013.

The high speed network will then spread to Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton/Stoney Creek by December 2013.

Mobilicity's President and COO, Stewart Lyons reaffirms the expansion commitment: "Mobilicity is on its way. Our engineering team has been working on network builds in your areas and we're looking for new dealers and employees to help us deliver the value you deserve through Mobilicity's no-contract, affordable unlimited data, talk and text service."

Mobilicity reports that it has upgraded its HSPA+-enabled network to 4G in October and now data speeds of up to 21Mbps are attainable.

The company recently expanded its National Retail Program with Food Basics. In early November, full-service kiosks were set up in four Food Basics stores in Toronto.
