Alternate wireless provider Mobilicity has announced it will be launching its 3G Wireless service in Calgary on Thursday April 28th.
The company says residents of Calgary will be able to purchase its phones and plans from over 70 locations in the city including corporate stores and Mobilicity dealers.
Calgary is the fifth city in which the privately owned wireless company will offer mobile phone service after Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. The Calgary launch will mark the last of Mobilicity’s current market roll outs.
The company offers three voice and data plans beginning at $25 a month as well as an unlimited Internet Data plan. Mobilicity also has nine handsets to choose from starting from $90 for the LG Wink right up to the new Nexus S from Google for $500.
Recently, Digital Home had the opportunity to test the Mobilicity service for a month in Toronto with the Blackberry Bold 9780. We found the voice quality and data service in Toronto to be excellent and recommend Calgarians looking for local wireless service in the near future, consider the Mobilicity service.
