I would like to know if MLPPP is recommended.

Where I live, the maximum DSL speed I can get is 5mbps because
of my distance with the CO.

Since MLPPP is created using 2 lines... I thought why not...

Any idea or comment on that?

Thanks

Teksavvy can setup MLPPP properly. They have a dedicated MLPPP server. It will more than double the cost over a single line but it will cost about the same as similar services from the big name ISPs and will have higher caps. If you don't mind paying the cost...

I just had Teksavvy dual bonded mlppp installed last week. Working great so far. The setup was relatively simple. The only hiccup I had was that I had to do the internal wiring for the second phone jack myself. The bell installer would not set foot in my house. My speed is rough 8.5 mbps down and 1.2 mbps up, which is what I would expect given the 15% overhead that is normal for dsl.
