Hey Guys,
Was going to get a computer back in the summer and had some great advice but my old one held on until just yesterday.
So, going to look for one that will play what is considered a top-end game for demand on a system...minimum requirements being...

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.46Ghz or AMD Phenom X3 8750 Processor or better

2GB Ram

ATI Radeon X1950 Pro or better

With the Radeon ... would the HD 5850 or 5870 be even better than the X1950?

The X1950 Pro is a 4 year old card and is the minimum spec for the game, if I were you I'd get the new 6870 or 6850 and save a few buck over the 58 series.

Definitely go quad-core as well. I have AMD X2 6000 (3GHZ Dual Core) and ATI 4890 with 4GB RAM, and the game bogs down. Me thinks it's time to upgrade to a quad or six core.
