I'm having a real problem.

I have a Microsoft Bluetooth 6000 Keyboard. Worked fine for about a month. A couple of days ago it stopped working.

I've tried virtually everything. I've done the simple things such as removing the device and adding it back. When I add it back, Windows finds the device, I input the pairing code and Windows successfully adds the device. If you go into Bluetooth, Windows says the device is available and working properly.

Problem is I goto use the keyboard and it doesn't work.

I tried to connect the mini numeric pad that comes with the keyboard. I was able to successfully add it and register it but it doesn't work either.

I have tried restoring to previous points but Windows 7 is unable to restore to any of the eight previous restore points I have. Thanks MS for producing such a fine product!

I have also uninstalled and re-installed Windows Intellipoint Software.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried changing the batteries of your keyboard? Had a similar problem with my Bluetooth mouse (although, not from Microsoft); it would disconnect and reconnect every minute or so, changing the batteries corrected the problem.

Also, you may try updating your Bluetooth drivers (stack), as it is possible that the HID profile may have become corrupted, although I find it least possible.

I uninstalled some devices and drivers (not sure if I got them all) without success. Also looked for Updated drivers but could not find any.

Hugh try it on another PC to eliminate the driver issue. I had a Microsoft mouse go on me. Computer recognized it and all seemed well but no amount of fiddling could make it work. One day it worked the next it didn't.

The Keyboard definitely works. I tried it on my iPad.

That is odd. You probably have installed something couple days ago (when kb stop working) that mess the OS. If you remember a recent install try uninstalling it.
You could also try a repair from the windows disk. Best would be if you have a backup image that you could reinstall.
