turned unto this artist from a friend recently. really good if you (and/or your significant other) ..are into laid back jazzy-blues female vocal. sit back relax ..and enjoy, on your own ..or with a loved one.

she often speaks of the therapy of music ..

She has visited various universities and hospitals to speak about its ability to help reconnect neural pathways in the brain, improve speech ability, and lift general spirits. In a recent interview she was rumored to be working closely in a university in the United States to help develop a program for music therapy and the management of pain, something she has spoken about establishing in the future on her own

She's terrific - sort of an Eva Cassidy groove with fascinating, offbeat enunciation and phrasing a bit like Phoebe Snow, Patsy Cline, and even a bit of Shakira's vibrato. Good catch!
