@NO-CRTC, I've never used the system you have now. Mediaroom takes about 2 or 3 minutes to reboot the PVR to the point where you get a TV signal and guide. It takes about another minute for the hard drive to be available for recording or play back recordings.
Rebooting shouldn't happen that often.
