That's good news! I also like the fact that they are keeping constant with the videotron pricing!
replays for only $17.99
A bit pricey per single viewing for my tastes. I wonder how much the DVD will be?
Really? I think $20 for a live concert in HD is pretty good! The replay price is still under the price of a Blu-ray disc!
I think the live concert will not be presented in HD. Only the replay on friday July 25th.

But Videotron also presents it for viewers in Quebec, mom saw the advertisement today
My understanding is that the show is free for those attending in Quebec City........a similiar arrangement should have been made by ExpressVu as a thank you to all its loyal and devoted subsribers.
Lindsay, you should be on Last Comic Standing...:D

Videotron is only in PQ, I think the only other provider who could claim national is Starchoice, and I guess they are not carrying it.
Even in quebec we had to pay to see the show on TV.... but it was Free for those that actually gone to the show... like I did, and it was a great show... 2h45 of non stop music by Sir Paul...

I would like to get it for 19.99 in HD but.. the bad reliability of the 9242 to record a show without any bug will prevent me for doing it... i'll wait for the blu Ray DVD ... if it evers comes out ! ;)

have a nice day !
Free to attend live...pay to watch it on TV.

How times have changed...

Humm... Live show was paid by PQ & CDN governments while TV broadcasters are corporate businesses and exist to make money therefore, broadcasting has to be paid by interested/willing users. As far as I concerned, I hope they make a DVD of it and I will willingly buy as I am not a "willing user" of either BEV or videotron!

Cheers!

yeah it was a great show, I was there also,
at the end Sir Paul said see you on the dvd,
I am hoping, all that footage, behind the scenes, setting up the show, interviews ect and the whole concert, does get used for a BD eventually
A very good friend of mine was in charge of all microphones used during the show. During afternoon testing, he took his cellphone and was about to take a picture of Sir Paul and a bodyguard quickly came to him and asked him to put that phone away and he wasn't going to ask twice. My buddy said it was the biggest goon he had ever seen. He did put the phone away without a picture...

Mustn't let corporations lose out on their profit...I can see why you support this tactic.

Truth is...broadcasters can make tons of money by selling ads.

This is no tactic, this is life... Companies exist to make money and I think there could be good money there for them, why would they miss out on this? As I mentioned, I would much prefer investing in a DVD as it would stick with me instead of the service it self.

Lucky him! Who is he working for? Solotech? I don't think there is that many companies that are fit for such a job in Quebec... Pretty big gig!
Live show was paid by PQ & CDN governments...
And the taxpayers get the bill. I wonder what ruling party connections were required to get the best tickets. Excuse me while I puke over the government waste and corruption surrounding this show... :p
I belive there was no ticket... First come best view was the rule I think! I watched the news and they were showing people that got there the day before, sleeping on the site (and it rained that night!) just to be in front of that stage. At the noon news some people were leaving complaing that there was too many people wanting to be in front, and people were pushing too much, they coudn't take it, went home and came back later for the show. We saw them on the news the nest day and they said they didn't had the view they would have if they stayed, but woudn't have been able to be pushed that long

Actually, I don't think he's in a big company. He comes from La Tuque. He just finished working for the Festival D'été du Québec and the organizers liked his work so they hired him for the Sir Paul show.
I am amazed that they did something like a lineup for free tickets, especially after the deaths that have occurred in similar circumstances. A lottery is the best way to handle tickets for an event like this. I am appalled at the way this was handled.
