Magellan today announced the company's new 2010 RoadMate series of portable vehicle navigation devices which includes eight models in a variety of screen sizes and feature sets.

Included with all 2010 models is a lifetime subscription to live traffic which keeps users informed of any traffic conditions that may delay the drive and calculates route options for the driver to choose from.

Other features on all models include: Multi-destination Routing, a OneTouch personalization feature allowing you to save favorite places, categories and searches; spoken street names; 6 million points of interest, and QuickSpell for improved address entry and multi-destination routing.

Once your close to your destination, Magellan also offers some specialized parking features such as the Automatic Parking Lot Finder which identifies local parking lots and the Find Your Car feature which records the location of your car and directs you to it.

Magellan Roadmate 2010 Series Overview

The 2000 Series features three 4.3" models starting with the RoadMate 2035 with map coverage of the contiguous United States and Puerto Rico. The 2036 model adds Canadian map coverage, built-in AAA Tourbook and Roadside Assistance and Highway Lane Assist. The 2045 model adds an expansion micro SD slot.

Adding to the feature set of the RoadMate 2045, the 3000 Series features four 4.7" models beginning with the RoadMate 3045 with map coverage of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The RoadMate 3045-LM adds Free Lifetime Maps. The 3055 model takes the features of the 3045 and steps up with Bluetooth and voice dialing for improved safety. The flagship RoadMate 3065 Commuter model adds the exclusive Traffic Wake-up and Periodic Reporting.



Rounding out the new line-up, the RoadMate 5045 adds a 5" screen to the 3045 feature set including map coverage of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

The new Magellan RoadMate series of Portable Navigation devices is now available and will retail for between $170 U.S. and $300 U.S.
