Many will recall that last year, seasons 2 and 3 were available on Rogers On Demand in HD for free, even though the "live" broadcasts were only in SD. Does anyone know whether the new season, which started last night, will be available on demand in HD? Thanks!

Yeah, it'll be available on demand because they have no way to let us view the show in HD otherwise, since for some reason Rogers still refuses to carry AMC HD even though Bell and Shaw both have it.

Unfortunately there's no rhyme or reason in terms of how they upload the episodes onto On Demand. Back in the 2nd season they used to add the episode immediately after it finished airing, Sunday nights at 11pm. Since then they just throw the episode on whenever they feel like it, sometimes completely forgetting to upload the HD version at all.

If you call Rogers to complain, the reps basically have no control or insight/information about the on-demand programming.

I was hoping to watch the premiere tonight but it looks like I'll have to download it instead.

I agree with cyclone it used be after midnight on Sunday so I could watch it all its HD glory (the cinematography is just amazing on this show not to mention the dialog) But rogers were inconsistent at best. I waited all day today but its still on demand yet. I caeved and watched it in SD :( and am gonna watch it again if they do upload the HD version.

This is another failure of Rogers to communicate with their customers.

They won't add AMC HD, although other Cdn providers have.

They won't tell us why not, or if/when they will.

And now they won't tell us whether they will carry Mad Men Season 4 in HD, on demand, as they did with Season 3.

No press release. No explanation on ROD's AMC page. No topic at Redboard.

this is a real shame. i've been a fan of the show since the first episode ... and back then, i didn't care about HD because I didn't have it.

last season we were able to watch each episode in HD on demand, usually on Monday, the odd time we had to wait until tuesday. As of Wednesday night at 11pm it was still not available. I've still held off but am about to break down.

I emailed their customer service and was told it could take 72 hours for a response! amazing communications from Canada's largest communication company.

A show this good deserves HD.

Rogers = fail

Honestly, why not just record the show?

I couldn't even finish the live broadcast last night, it was way over-compressed. Oddly, the on-demand SD version I watched this morning was much better: no ghosting on the intro "Mad Men" logo, much clearer throughout the episode.

Wow, I have low expectations when it comes to Rogers but I can't believe this (From the official Rogers On Demand twitter account):

@tensundays #MadMen is not avail in HD On Demand this year – only SD. I'll be sure to share your feedback to the ROD team. Thanks! ^ll
This makes no sense at all to me. Thankfully my free PVR expires at the end of this month and I'm 100% going to cancel now. Hopefully Bell's FibeTV service will be available here by then.
