Reasons why I prefer shaw direct than BellTV:

* Special $22 Digital Lite Channels
* Brought an HDTV DSR505 Box for $55.00 after HST
* Special Weather Channels for Local Towns and Cities
* Carry Other Off Air Canadian Stations that doesn't have on Bell TV
* Sometimes, I get free previews Including US Super Stations Until Oct 31 (KTLA, WGN, WSBK and WPIX)
* Also have Auto Tune and have an HD Out from DSR-505 for LCD TV

And Finally

Shaw Direct + DSR-505 + Live in New Glasgow + HD US Channels = No CTV and GlobalTV Simsubs = Very Happy. Let Hope there no SimSubs on Superbowl Sunday coming in 2011.

Yes, it is nice to hear other people are enjoying their SD experience. Even though I have been a SD customer for a short time, so far it beats the 5 + crappy service and reception that I endured over at Rogers. Better price and value for what I am paying, Rogers could never match it. The only negative thing about SD so far is the whole receiver issues, that is why I didn't go with the PVR.

Thanks for Supporting Shaw Direct. Expect it doesn't hide channels that you don't order. I wish they have new firmware, don't know why they cancelled it.

It was canceled because the hardware couldn't handle the software. Hopefully the upcoming 600 series PVR will be better.
