I noticed recently that I was missing some hd channels, called the cogeco help line and we determined that the cause was a 2 way splitter installed before the hd receiver, I have a htcp setup which I use to record sd channels and now can't use this connection without losing some hd channels.

Anybody else had this problem and how did you overcome this ????.

Thanks for any help.:):)

Thanks for your replies guys, all the cables in the house where installed by cogeco when the house was built, the splitter came in the hd stb box from cogeco.

I did have a problem for years with signal quality, which was addressed when I went to hd, the Field tech had to install an in line amp to boost the signal as he figured the signal was too weak.

Sounds like a service call and a bill for it....:(
