Trying to watch some YouTube videos on the FireStick. But those annoying 15 second unskipable ads are getting on my nerves. Is there a way to download an adblocker for YouTube to the FireStick? I am not paying the fee for the YouTube Premium which lets you watch videos without ads.

Any help would be nice.

Thank you

Another alternative might be Pi-hole. It requires a Linux system but is fairly easy to install on a Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately, the Raspberry Pi is in very short supply due to global chip shortages but any lightweight box with a compatible version of Linux should work. I haven't tried it with YouTube.

Be carefull with youtube replacements on android.
One year ago i was running newpipe , youtube replacement for 4 months on my Nvidia Shield.
Newpipe ran great , but the kicker is youtube got my ip address from running newpipe and google sent me an email to my google account , complaining that i was running newpipe.

If you use youtube replacements with built in add blockers you are putting your google account in jeporady.

Now i use pihole add blocker, for the last 4 years.
To block youtube adds i have bookmarked all youtube channels that i would normally watch in firefox and have exported this list of youtube channel address to the Vivaldi web browser that has a working add blocker and tracker blocker.

Have been running youtube channel shortcuts on Vivaldi for one year now, with out any more complaints from google.
The channel shortcuts are like https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCihfpjH3lmwmumsnzIVtV8g , you want the full youtube web address/channel/xxxxxyoutubechannel .

I am never logged into Youtube when i watch my channel shortcuts from Vivaldi.
It seems if you watch youtube from a web browser, google does not care, but if you use a Youtube replacement app , it PXXX off google and you will get an angry email from google.

The last thing you want is google close your Gmail account for a term of service violation.
All free email accounts can be terminated for a term of service violation anytime these big companys get ticked off at the account holder.
