Canadian wireless carriers and retailers will have another marquee Android smartphone on the menu selection this fall.
LG Electronics will introduce the new G2 smartphone in a few weeks and just about everyone will get in on the action, including Bell Mobility, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, Videotron and WIND Mobile. Leading retailers such as Future Shop, Best Buy, Target Mobile, Tbooth wireless, The Source, WIRELESS etc. and WIRELESSWAVE will also participate.
LG specifically took an extensive study of the mobile consumer's behaviour patterns and habits in constructing the new G2.
"In developing the LG G2, we listened to and learned from what consumers were telling us they wanted in a premium smartphone," said Geoffrey McMurdo, Vice President Mobile Communications, LG Canada. "LG G2 features a unique design with an ultra thin display bezel and innovative rear key, intuitive user experience and time saving innovations. Through our strong carrier and retail partnerships, our most exciting and ambitious mobile phone, the LG G2 will be available to Canadians nationally this fall."
To help the mobile consumer get the most of the new smartphone, the Jelly Bean 4.2.2-powered LG G2 brings a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display helped by a highly-regarded 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 32 GB of memory, 2 GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery. The phone, which comes in black or white, is equipped with a 2.1 MP camera in front, to go along with the 13.0 MP camera in the rear, where you'll also find the volume rocker and sleep/power buttons. Interesting move, LG.
