I don't know about that specific model but I just picked up an RX-V567 this week. It has a bunch of features that were not the ones I bought it for that I really like.
Naming inputs, Direct Mode, HDMI switching when the receiver is in standby mode, naming inputs, Scene setups, YPAO for calibration, and the ease of setup. I had it hooked up, set up, and calibrated in an hour or so.
You do need todo some homework if you want to use it with 3D you need to do your homework, several of the current crop of receivers have to have firmware updates for you to use it.
