I am surprised to see that there is virtually no discussion taking place here about the elusiveness of this product since it launched more than a month ago.

Perhaps this could be a good venue to exchange tips on where / when to get the phone. I've been calling around for 2 weeks now, stopping by every store that could potentially carry it, to no avail.

I know the Apple Store in West Edmonton Mall is selling some as I write this, and I'm being told the Southgate Mall Apple store (still in Edmonton) may have some later today.

Anyone else frustrated with the search process? I am losing my mind!!!

It still looks like the only sure solution is to line up early in the morning (that's how I got mine after many other unsuccessful attempts elsewhere) in front of an Apple store. If you are lucky (I was), they will have stock on opening, but the worst that can happen is wait until they get stock around noon. Everything else is a waste of time - unless you want an unlocked phone, that you can order from apple.ca.

There have been 2 times where this would have been possible (and I knew they had iPhones), and both times I had meetings to attend and couldn't spare 3-4 hours to line up and activate phones.

I am on a waiting list at 3 Rogers Authorized dealers, but probably 75th to 100th in the queue. Given that those stores receive 3-4 phones a week, it's a very long shot.

I have been a BB and FS several times over the past 2 weeks. About half the time, they had the iPhone 4, but they were for Telus or Bell.

Apple Store Southgate in Edmonton will have a bunch for sale in 3 hours today! They are telling me no lineups right now, so if I could make my way, I'd have to wait for 2.5 hours and get one.

But, I have a meeting in 2 hours, so by 5PM, the lineup will be huge or they will have run out of phones. GGGGRRRRRRR

I got my iPhone on August 28th at the Apple store in Calgary. I got to the mall at around 5:30am, there where 6 people in front of me. Security let us in the mall, and by the time the store opened at 8:45am, there was about 150 people in line behind me. I was out of the store with my newly activate phone by 9:30am. It pays to get there early.

I am also waiting for a store between Cambridge and Mississauga to get a phone in stock for Bell.

If anyone finds any stores that have in stock for Bell, please let us know.

I checked with my Rogers + store in Moncton and they had some so I picked one up last Thursday (16 GB) . I had also put my name on a list with Bell mobility (speedy Communications) and they called on Monday to say it had arrived.

So supply in Moncton "seems" to be getting better.

Wow - can't believe that there's actually stock sitting on shelves somewhere in Canada. Bodies still line up at the Apple Stores in Vancouver at 6am in the hopes that some will arrive in that day's shipment.

Having said that, though, I have been to a few telus places (stores and Futureshop) that do have iPhone4, but Rogers - they just shake their heads in despair. Futureshop said that they get maybe two or three once every 2-3 weeks.

Ordered mine last week from Bell CS over the phone directly. Not sure how long the wait will be to get it, they said 5 to 10 days but that could be wrong.

First time i phoned they told me to goto a store. First store said 2 month waiting list, 2nd store said they were reserved for new customers only and not hardware upgrades. 3rd store said line up every morning and see if they came in. One of the stores also recommended going to The Source as they've heard they've been getting daily shipments.

If you complain enough then they'll take a phone order but they typically don't like to do that right now. So we'll see how long it is and i'll update when and if i finally get it
