I guess from the little reading I've been doing in this forum I just have to live with the compression errors and strange interlacing errors on Optik TV? This is my first user end experience with digital TV and I'm surprised at how highly compressed some of it is. On edits between fairly complex images the incoming shot breaks up unacceptably for 20-30 frames. There is also an intermittent error which looks like interlaced video for a couple of frames, in the middle of frame.

Do I just have to suck it up?

Absolutely not. More than likely a less than an optimal installation. RG6 coax(rather than older RG59), high quality telephone wire terminations, no splitters etc are all required to get good bandwidth. Also, distance to Telus fiber to copper multiplexor should be less than 2.0 km. I had a problem and just unscrewing coax connectors and tightening them worked for me. Freezing and pixilation are very rare now. I think the pixilation is more at the Telus end linking to the satellites. I would call Telus.
