For the first time in history, Future Shop has cracked the biennial ranking of the top brands in Canada.

Canada's largest consumer electronics retailer holds position #24 on the latest version of Interbrand's Top 25 Canadian brands, which is based on company value and ability to operate as an effective brand contributing to performance.

Nikki Hellyer, Director of Marketing, Future Shop relays the importance of the selection: "We're ecstatic to be named one of the top brands in Canada by one of the world's leading brand consultancies, Interbrand. Each year, we strive to improve our business, starting with the customer experience and product assortment, to our Price Beat guarantee, installation and services, digital experiences, and more. We appreciate the recognition and look forward to climbing the rankings."

Director of Interbrand Canada, Alfred DuPuy said that Future Shop delivers on the promise of offering the lowest prices on electronics and is able to continually do so because of its sheer size and clout with suppliers.

DuPuy also noted that Future Shop deserved the recognition due to its effort to retain customers online and through mobile, including offering expert advice through its Tech Yeah Community.

The Best Canadian Brands ranking uses the same brand valuation methodology as Interbrand's Best Global Brands report.

Future Shop joins such well-known brands as Molson, Tim Hortons and BlackBerry on the list, which is available at: .
