New mts ultimate customer- wondering about that green "link" light on the main box. Is it always supposed to be on, or have I messed something up pushing buttons? Thanks!

The Link light should always be green, even when the box is "off". It means the box is connected to the network.

It could be you changed the audio on the STB to surround sound (5.1) and TV or receiver doesn't process it correctly. Try:

Menu, Settings, Audio, Digital Audio Output, Stereo.

No sound from MTS? Make sure you have the right cables connected. For example, I was recently hooking up a system for my parents and the audio did not work correctly unless SPDIF was used. This depends a lot on your components other than the MTS box. The best bet is to take all the cables from your dish box and hook them up to MTS and see if you have sound. If the answer is yes then you just need to mirror those exaxt connections if you plan to keep both boxes running.
