I have image persistence occurring on my LCD due to having a gaming application exist on the screen for a number of hours.
I've tried fixing it by displaying a white screen for extended periods of time and the image still persists although it does seem to be dissipating.

My question is, has anyone else experienced this and should I be more patient, as it has not disappeared after a week?

Thaks in advance.

Image retention should not exist on an LCD under home use where the TV is turned off once in a while. Here's a previous thread on the topic. See my link to the Burn in FAQ, in that thread:

If you turn the TV off overnight, there should be no image seen the next day on an LCD.

I am seeing image retention on my Toshiba 42HL167 LCD TV. It is from a video game screen. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if 1 week is not sufficient period of time for it to completely disappear.
