iHome has announced that its wireless iW1 AirPlay speaker, which lets owners wirelessly stream music from their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iTunes over their home Wi-Fi network, to the device will go on sale next week.
The iW1 also supports charging and local audio playback via USB by using the USB sync cable that comes with new iPods and iPhones.
Homeowners can purchase multiple units in order to extend music wirelessly into multiple rooms in their home. Inside the unit is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery so you can play music from your iOS device outdoors.
The iHome iW1 will go on-sale throughout North America starting September 26th for $300.
