Getting ready for March break? Already dreaming of a summer vacation as the snow melts?

If you’re going to be traveling, you can now let Google help you plan your trip.

Yesterday, the company introduced Destinations on Google, a new service available on mobile only.

As Google states, Destinations on Google “helps you discover and plan your next vacation, right from Google Search on your phone”.

The service is easy to use. Simply search with Google on a mobile phone for the place, (continent, country or state,) that you’d like to travel to and add the word “destination” to your search.

Google will then present various options.

Functions like Google Flights and Hotel search allow users to scroll through available information rather than have to flip through many open tabs to see their travel choices.

Helpful features such as “Flexible Dates” let users refine their results, in this case allowing users to see when fares and rates are lowest within a certain time range, across multiple destinations.

It's a great way of consolidating all the resources you may require when trying to plan a getaway. There's even an “Explore” tab that helps users see what the weather is like in their destination of choice, and when it is most popular based on historic visits from other travelers, in order to avoid the crowds or join them.

Google will suggest itineraries based on selections and with the tap of a finger users can be good to go. Kind of like having a travel agent in your own living room. Or, on the subway, ready to strike up a conversation, for as long as you need. Useful.
