Thought I'd invite folks to comment on which Blu-ray 3D movies they own, and which are their favourites?

Here's my collection (so far):

A Christmas Carol (2009)- 4.5/5
Alice in Wonderland (haven't watched)
Bolt (haven't watched)
Clash of the Titans- 3/5
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs- 4/5
Imax Deep Sea 3D- 4/5
Imax Space Station 3D- 3/5

Next anticipated 3D purchase: Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (release date: 17 December)

Instead of starting a new thread, I added a poll to Skypilot's initial post.

Right now, I have Polar Express, Monster House, Avatar, Open Season, and will be getting an Imax box set in the next few weeks.

Wow - talk about a discussion for raving optimists!! :)

I look forward to being able to get 3D for home. However, that means a new TV first - I wonder how many who have scanned this discussion would be more willing to buy into 3D if it did not mean replacing a fairly new, perfectly working large screen TV?

March is the month were many new 3D titles are supposed to come out. It is like regular Blu-ray. At the start of it all, you couldn't find that many new titles in that format. Look at it now!

Plus it really isn't that fair to compare 3D Blu-Ray with regular Blu-Ray. There are not that many 3D movies coming out each year compared to 2D movies. If they only converted all the 3D movies that were made since the 50's....;)

No, movies shot in 2D shouldn't be converted to 3D as it dilutes the format. People walk away thinking that 3D is a gimmick; once I get a 3D TV (no plans for it right now), I'm only going to stick to buying movies shot for 3D, not converted to the format.

If the conversion is well done like Alice in Wonderland, it is all right to watch. If it is done cheaply/quickly to make a buck on a trend like Clash of the Titans, then no.

I meant the actual movies that had been filmed in 3D from the 50's on.

I voted none but that might change. I watched the original Piranha on BD and id like to see the 2010 version but I havent found the 2D only version so I can only conclude that I have to buy the 3D BD to see the 2D:)

Just say "No" to 3D movies. Until you can do away with those awful glasses, 3D is terrible and I actually personally hope that the gimmick goes away.

After buying a 3D tv, I for one hope the trend continues. Wearing 3D glasses to me isn't any different than wearing sunglasses.

Anyway, please people keep the posts according to the original subject. The fact that you like or don't like 3D tv doesn't belong here. You can start another thread about it. Thank you for your understanding.

By the way, I see Gullivers Travel might be released next month in Blu-Ray 3D. That will be another one to my collection!!!
