Hey guys,

I'm having a problem with the subwoofer on my htib. I have an optical cable going from a macbook into the amp.

it's plugged into optical1 and I have the receiver set to DVD:eek:ptical1, the sound is coming through but the subwoofer doesn't work. It's plugged in properly and turned on.

In the settings it is also turned on in all the places I looked. I have it set to stereo and also tried it on pliix and neo:6 and everything in between. I can't get the bass back on but I have noticed it says digital as well as lpcm.

I know the sub works becaus when I go through the speakers and turn on test tone, I can scroll through to my sub and it's functions fine.

Anyone know what's going on?
Thanks

CF: Subwoofer won't work. Tried everything. Help.

I couldn't find anything on the mac that could change anything.

In the system preferences under sounds it only shows this in the output tab:
The selected device has no output controls.

I'm not sure what LFE is tho.

Okay. So now I know what LFE is. How do I turn it back on.

The mac worked with the sub at one point. I just recently moved so I had to re hook up my whole system. It hasn''t worked since as far as I know.
