Normally, I cannot use google maps offline, since I do not want to use my precious data. Now I found out google maps has an app that can be used offline. I want to sign in and use the offline maps, but it gives me this message
“Google maps wants to use google.com to sign in
This allows the app and website to share information about you”
My question is whether it is safe to install this offline app, and who they will share my information with, and what information?

It's Google. They share all information with everyone. There is no selectivity unless you carefully go through all your account privacy settings on the account website.

Google still uses your information the way they see fit. Read their privacy policy to at least know what they do with it.

Also, keep in mind that to use the online or offline maps you need to enable tracking which records path taken. You need to disable tracking recording in the Google Maps app.

Thanks. Never know there is so much that google has collected on me. So far, there is no sensitive personal info. So, I’ll go ahead installing the app.
