Whilst the Xoom isn't great, I think quite a few of the next tablets launched like the ASUS Transformer will be much better. The same thing was said for the first Android smartphones and we all know how that is going. I think people will mainly buy the tablet that matches their phones OS with Android tablets outselling iPads once their product matures, much like their phones.

I have an iPad and can't to get a Transformer (HTC Desire HD user), it has better specs and is around $200 cheaper. The Xoom failed due to lackluster performance, high price and lack of SD card usage, I doubt many more manufacturers make the same mistakes going forward as Motorola has.

yah the price tag on the zoom made no sense. unfortunately thats the standard for moto lol

looks liek asus will save the day with the transformer.

and once honeycomb evovles it will be great. look at android 1.5/1.6 they were sooo slow and now 2.2.1 + are true iPhone competitors! and in my biased opinion androind 2.3.3+ are better then iphones (especialy with the gchat video/voice calling coming soon!)

^ I agree, looking back, the improvements from my HTC Hero to my Desire to my Desire HD are phenomenal. I loathe the notification system, lack of multi-task and widgets on my iPad, truly un-user friendly, and don't get me started on the single home button lol.
