
Total worldwide usage in November 2010 for Chrome was 9.26%, up 0.76% from October and more than double the 3.93% recorded in the same month of 2009.
Internet Explorer remained the browser of choice worldwide with a 58.44% share, however, that figure was down significantly from 63.62% in November 2009. Firefox was the second most popular browser in November with a 22.76% share, down marginally from 22.83% in October and down over two full percentages point from its peak in November 2009 at 24.72%.

According to NetMarketShare , Chrome has gained market share in each of the last twenty five months and is now the world's third most popular web browsing software.

In June 2010, Safari was the fourth most popular browser with a 5.55% market share followed by Opera in fith spot at 2.2%. The top five browsers now account for 98.21% of all browser usage.
