I have a pair of B&W towers and centre...

looking for 4 satellites and a sub to complete my 7.1 system.

I'm already over budget.. .

you think these RM7 and RM8's + the psw125 would be a nice complement to the B&W's? I know its a difference class all together, but its only surround sound speakers.

the sub retails for $4xx.xx at futureshop right now.. so $479 for the set must be a good deal.

The Polks would likely make decent surrounds. One thing to note: They all appear to have a -3dB point of ~130Hz, so you'll need to set the crossover for the surround channels fairly high - probably quite a bit higher than the crossover for the mains + center.

If you have a receiver that can handle that (i.e., lets you adjust the crossover on a channel-by-channel or channel-pair basis), no problem. If you don't (i.e., if your receiver has a universal crossover adjustment), then you'll end up setting the crossover either too low for the surrounds or too high for the mains + center.

I wouldn't waste that kind of money on those speakers (RM7 * 8s are the lowest of the lowest in Polk offerings). As far the PSW125, I've read too many failure of the amp section of the sub, I would more likely go for a PSW110 which does not have much of a history of failure compared to the PSW111 & 125. In your price range, you might want to opt for the new Blackstone TL1 5pack with a separate sub. of your choice or the full system which has an 8" 100w sub http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/blackstonetl/tl1.php.
