I noticed that Global is scheduling Parenthood on Mondays at 9:00PM ET starting Jan. 27 now that Sleepy Hollow has finished its season. The next episode is "Promises" S05, E11 (First Aired: Jan. 2, 2014), so Global is picking up where it left off, which means they will be running a few weeks behind NBC.

Global has also announced that filming has stated on season 5 of Rookie Blue which will be shown on Global and ABC later this year.

Remedee or Remedumb

I'm curious to see how bad Remedy will be. The brief promo I saw makes it look like CanCon garbage, especially since promos are supposed to make things look better than they actually are ... just like the ones for Saving Hope, but at least they have Wendy Crewson, Lois Lane and the actor who can see Great Caesar's Ghost to keep things from sinking too far below my tolerance level for many of our Canadian dramas.

Remedy isn't garbage, but it still smells stale enough to keep me away

Remedy was actually bearable in parts. At least there's more to it than the very basic Saving Hope. Remedy is certainly not CanCon crap, but it's still not interesting enough to keep me watching. Remedy looks like it belongs on the CBC, but somehow Global got stuck with it.

I won't be watching Remedy again until perhaps the last episode (even though I thought that most of the actors did a fine job with what they had to work with), just to see how it progressed or died.

I usually skim through episodes of Saving Hope because I like the two lead actors (and Wendy Crewson); the rest of the actors and content usually bore me to tears.

Remedy is better than Saving Hope on all levels, but as long as Lois Lane is on Saving Hope, I'm contractually obligated to monitor her cleavage. Sorry, but they don't call it the boob tube for nothing.

Global’s critically acclaimed drama returns for a fifth season and welcomes two new characters who shake up the familiar 15 Division dynamic. Returning for its sixteenth season, the hit series once again follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with more than 53 cameras and 97 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day. UNDER THE DOME – Monday, June 30 at 10 pm ET/PT

HOTEL HELL – Monday, July 21 at 9 pm ET/PT
Gordon Ramsay is on a quest to fix horrid hotels, awful inns and just plain bad bed and breakfasts. He will endure hotels at their worst – from filthy bedrooms and mold-ridden bathrooms to dreadful room service and incompetent staff – all so unsuspecting guests don't have to. After he has uncovered all the dirty secrets, he puts the hotel owners and employees to work as he attempts to turn around these failing establishments.

Full Press Release.

Note: I think there is an error in the press release - CBS says BIG BROTHER will air Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

So is Global going to be airing Rookie Blue a full month before ABC does? And on Mondays? And where will the show go once Under The Dome returns in June?

Rookie Blue will be moved to Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET, beginning July 2. ABC scheduled Rookie Blue against Big Brother on Thursdays, so Global will simsub Big Brother which has much higher ratings. Since Global owns Rookie Blue, they can schedule it 5 weeks earlier than ABC and most Canadians will watch it on Global. Using "24" as a lead-in to Rookie Blue also helps.

Global ordered 22 episodes, but only 11 will be shown this summer, with the remaining 11 reserved for a later date.

Not to mention the fact that (oops, I'm about to mention it) the ABC broadcast of Rookie Blue is slightly shorter (edited for time) than the Global version. It's also possible that the content is the same, but slightly sped up at one point to get the ABC version to better fit the time constraints of its broadcast.

However, the online streams on the Global, ABC and Hulu websites will all be the same unedited versions.

The Global website also often has some exclusive Blue content (behind the scenes and games) for Canadians (or sneaky VPN foreigners and cord cutters) to enjoy.

I'm looking forward to Global's upcoming adult web series: Rookie Blue Balls. ;)

CBS has moved Extant to 10pm Eastern, but so far it looks like Global is keeping its schedule unchanged for now, since Rookie Blue only has 2 weeks left. You should keep your eyes open for a last minute schedule change - just in case.

They are showing the first of season 8 which they somehow didn't air then finishing up with the series finale. So you get to enjoy the beginning and the end in one gulp .

That's kind of a weird day, because NBC is airing the final 2 episodes of Crossbones on Saturday August 2nd as well, from 8pm to 10pm Eastern time. So what will Global do?
