StreetPilot from Garmin just released today for iPhone 3, 3GS and 4. Also works in compatibility mode on iPad. Great news for you Garmin junkies with iPhones and only $40 bucks including traffic data! Not sure if it downloads the full maps to the phone or streams from their servers though, they're a little vague on that.

Definitely shows up on my iPhone in the app store Hugh. Just searched Garmin and StreetPilot shows up for $39.99. I've also confirmed it doesn't download the full maps to the phone, it streams them from Garmin servers. What a huge disappointment and a major fail on Garmin's part in my opinion. Navigon is only another $5 right now over Garmin and they install the full NA mapset on your phone so no data services required.

Garmin is way late to the iPhone GPS game so they need to be doing it better than the already well established players like Navigon and TomTom. Crazy. I sure hope they rethink this as it has the potential to be a huge hit for them with everyone familiar with the Garmin interface. Cheers!
