Greetings

Does anyone know if it is possible to copy the address data from one unit over to the another?

I have a nuvi 680 first and then I added the nuvi 765 unit. I'd like to transfer the data over to the new unit without typing all the data in ... person by person.

Looked in the directories of both units and nothing jumps out as something I can just copy and paste.

thanks

Regards

I'm new to the GPS world, but when you hook up the device via USB to the computer, you can see various files on your computer that are on the GPS. One of these probably relates to the addresses in the GPS - Favourites, Home, Recent, etc. You may be able to copy this file(s) to the computer and then transfer it/them to the new GPS, however, it may or may not be compatible.

Suggest you contact Garmin - perhaps they even have an FAQ on this on their website.

Works like a charm. It keeps both files ... new and old. Had to go through to prune a bit.
