The internet was recently switched to Telus Optik, and we received a new Modem/Router to replace the current one, and now it seems like the wireless has become worse. We had Shaw before.
I myself, live in a basement unit where the internet is shared, and the internet connection is horrid. As a test, the internet speed on the floor of the router was 12mbps, and here downstairs is 1-2mbps. When I am gaming, it felt as if I lost internet connection frequently and constantly, up to the point where it was very frustrating to deal with.
Any ideas? It might be that I'm actually too far away from the new router, but I'm in the exact same position before we got the new one.
