I had free WiFi at Pearson a couple of years ago, but it was paid for by Cisco. Is this a similar deal?

At least in terminal 1, the wifi is provided by Rogers. Got the rogers home page after connecting.

According to an article today in the Toronto Star, it's only free for 6 months. So, it would appear to be the same sort of promotion deal that Cisco had a couple of years ago.

Free or not, it's significantly better coverage than it used to be. It even works up in the Maple Leaf Lounge on the 4th floor.

When it goes back to paid, I hope it supports my global roaming account on iPass...

I mostly travel out of terminal 3 because of flight into the US and it's been wifi-less for the longest time. I could find Wifi at any other airports (Canadian and US) except Pearson Terminal 3.
