The iPhone doesn't have a built-in AM/FM radio tuner but you can download one of the following four free iPhone apps from the Apple iTunes stores which collectively can provide access to over 150 Canadian AM/FM radio stations from across the country.
Whether your preference is News/Talk, Adult Contemporary, Classic Rock, Country, Easy listening, Pop, Public radio or Sports, the following free streaming radio apps from Acadia Broadcasting, CBC Radio, Chum Radio, and Corus Radio will allow you to listen to the most popular AM/FM stations in the country.

.Rogers Radio - Not Free!
Rogers Digital Media announced today that it has launched an iPhone application for its 52 radio stations. Similar to the streaming radio apps listed above, the Rogers radio app gives users the ability to listen to any of the over fifty Rogers Radio stations across the country.
Unfortunately, the Rogers Radio app is restricted to Rogers Wireless users so iPod users and iPhone users on Bell and Telus Mobility will be unable to use the application.

If you don't like the idea of downloading and working with multiple radio station applications, then an excellent paid alternative which Digital Home recommends to readers is Wunder Radio.
Although its costs $6.99 in the iTunes app store, the Wunder Radio application gives iPhone users access to all the stations included in the free apps listed above plus all of Rogers 50+ Canadian radio stations. In addition, Wunder Radio provides access to over 50,000 Internet Radio stations and 36,000 AM/FM radio stations from around the world.
