A new FM radio station, dubbed Free FM, targeting Adults 35 to 54, began operation yesterday in London Ontario.

Owned by Blackburn Radio, CKLO-FM is an English language adult album alternative station broadcasting from a 10,000 watt transmitter on the frequency 98.1 FM.

The morning show will be staffed Tim Donovan and Lisa Brandt, followed by Katie Wright in mid-day and Steve Hart in the drive home.

In addition to providing listeners with a mixture of classic rock, jazz, folk and blues, Free FM will produce five hours of news programming a week thanks to a news staff of three .

Free FM will be the 14th station for Blackburn Radio, a regional network with stations in Sarnia, Windsor, Leamington, Chatham and Wingham.
