The Food Network HD, a high definition version of the the Canada digital specialty channel, is now available in Canada on Shaw Cable.

The station, which is a joint venture between Shaw Media and the Food Network in the U.S, will be on free preview to Shaw digital cable customers on channel 232 through November 30th.

To date, no deals for the carriage of the station on other cable, satellite and IPTV providers has been announced. The Standard definition (SD) version of the station is available from virtually all broadcast distributors across the country.

Once the free preview ends, the station will be included in the HD Plus (Education) packaging. For customers in the SPP packaging, Food HD will be included with its SD counterpart in Personal TV.
