This week Fitbit unveiled their newest creations: Fitbit Charge 2™ and Fitbit Flex 2™ , two new fitness wristbands.

Building on the popularity of the groundbreaking wearable devices, the new bands continue to track users’ health and fitness stats, while sporting a new look and experience that the company says can better help users reach their goals.

Both products are now available globally for presale, with retail availability starting this fall.

Here are some details about both:

Fitbit Charge 2: This is a reimagined version of Fitbit’s most popular fitness band. The device features PurePulse® heart rate tracking, an enhanced exercise experience, new health and fitness tools, smart notifications, and a new design with a display that is 4 times larger than its predecessor.

The Charge 2 also offers a chance for users to relax through guided breathing sessions. The mindfulness experience is said to calm the body and mind through personalized deep-breathing sessions called “Relax”.

Other top features include:
    • Multi-sport modes: Allows users to track specific workouts like runs, bike rides, weights, yoga and more, plus get post-exercise summaries and a detailed report of activity in the Fitbit® app.
    • Connected GPS: Links users' fitness wristband with the GPS in a smartphone to provide even more precise and actionable real-time stats, like pace and distance when running, while recording a map of a route in the app.
    • Interval workout mode: Guides users in alternating periods of high-intensity exercise and recovery to maximize workouts like circuit training enabling them to stay focused on a workout.

The Fitbit Charge 2 comes with interchangeable bands for more a formal or relaxed style.

Fitbit Flex 2: This is Fitbit’s first-ever swim-proof fitness wristband. It features a removable tracker that transforms with classic bands, elegant bangles or pendants, and allows users to track all-day activity, exercise and sleep.

Top features include:
  • Ultra-slim, minimalist design: Now 30% smaller, Flex 2 features a removable tracker and interchangeable slim, and fitness bands in seven colors.
  • Accessory options: Users can transform and customize Flex 2 in a variety of Fitbit-designed bracelets and pendants to best suit their style or activity. Options include luxe, premium mirror-finish bangles in silver stainless steel, and 22k-plated gold or rose gold stainless steel, or elegant lariat-style necklaces in silver stainless steel or 22k-plated gold stainless steel.
  • Swim-proof and automatic swim tracking: As Fitbit’s first swim-proof wristband, Flex 2 is water resistant up to 50 meters, and it automatically tracks pool swims including laps, duration and calories burned in the Fitbit App.
  • SmartTrack automatic exercise tracking: The wristband recognizes select workouts (walks, runs, rides, elliptical, sports, aerobic workouts, and now swims).
  • Reminders to Move: These help users stay active with friendly reminders to reach mini hourly step goals and reduce stationary time.
  • Smarter: An LED display uses color-coded lights to show progress towards a daily goal, while keeping the user connected with call and text notifications.
