According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), Fitbit currently tops the list as the most worn wearable, around the globe.

To find its data, the IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker looked at what people were wearing in Canada, the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America, Japan, and Asia Pacific.

The results they obtained show that fitness trackers and smartwatches are competing for space as the market continues to grow and innovate, IDC says.

“The wearables that we see today are several steps ahead of what we saw when this market began,” said Ramon Llamas, research manager for IDC’s wearables team to “(They are) increasingly taking their cues from form, function, and fashion That keeps them relevant. The downside is that it is becoming a crowded market, and not everyone is guaranteed success.”

Xiaomi, Apple, Garmin, Samsung and BBK were the next most-worn wearables following Fitbits’ popular fitness tracker, according to
