Any feed coming directly from the broadcaster (via fiber) would be a first generation signal, which I assume is the case for most specialty networks and many OTA signals.

A long time ago shaw direct was supposed to offer first generation signals on some of their channels.
Do anyone know if this is still true and what channels are first generation?
