Forest Hill Towers, the newly renovated, 151-unit high rise building in Fredericton, New Brunswick, will become the first FibreOP™ enabled multi-residential building in Atlantic Canada. Killam partnered with Bell Aliant to retrofit the building with FibreOP enabling their tenants to take advantage of the ultimate television and Internet experience.

From the press release it sounds like retrofitting FIBREOP in an existing MDU requires a lot of cooperation from the building management. I would guess there are a lot of legal and regulatory issues, like ownership of the fibre-optic infrastructure and third-party access.

Since Killam has done this one, they are probably open to doing more in the future. I don't know if this building was a special case because of the fire damage. From what I've heard, Killam is a major property manager in Atlantic Canada.
