Can someone point me to instructions for updating the firmware on my Panasonic DMP BD65. I have never done it before. I had one rental that I had to take back to the video shop cause it didn't work. That was abou 2 months ago and I haven't used it since. Just hadn't gotten around to figuring it out.

Panny firmware updating

well- I have a panasonic HDD/dvd recorder and updating the firmware was
easy. I presume your Panasonic unit does something along these lines
1-go to panasonic's website and find out if your unit needs a firmware update
2-download the update. 3-for mine-burn the update to a cd (your manual may tell you what the right format for the cd has to be-I used ISO 9600 and it worked fine.4. open the tray of the unit. 5-put the burned disc on the tray
6-close it and let it do its thing. Check your manual as to how you do updates on your BluRay player-you might not even need to burn a disk, USB stick may
be okay (I dunno)

that should be it--

check your manual for more info.

Sadly, though, Panasonic doesn't seem to have a replacement for this available in Canada. Sony used to-but I don't think any manufacturers have
anything like this for North America-Shame too--oh well

Thanks for the response. I did figure it out. After much googling I finally found a link for the correct firmware. My player was way out of date. I then discovered I could burn it to CD and put it in the player and it did everything automatically from there.
My original post was hoping that someone might have had a link to save me some time.
